Board members are responsible for:
- making the policy decisions of NYSCASA
- implementing the mission of NYSCASA through these policy decisions
- the fiscal health of NYSCASA
- maintaining and expanding the resources of NYSCASA through budget oversight, financial planning, fundraising, membership recruitment, and other development activities
- representing NYSCASA to members, funders, legislators, and the public in a positive and constructive manner
- hiring the Executive Director, conducting an annual review of the Executive Director, creating and devising personnel policies, and overseeing personnel policy decisions
- identifying potential new board Members and ensuring the reproduction of a strong, active, and healthy board
Board members are members of NYSCASA and make a commitment to fulfilling all the duties of membership. Annual Board member dues are $100.
