Webinar: Understanding and Using the “DocuSAFE” Documentation and Evidence Collection App

May112020

From 3:30 PM until 5:00 PM

Presented by the National Network to End Domestic Violence

The Safety Net Project at the National Network to End Domestic Violence is excited to announce the upcoming launch of our new evidence collection and documentation app, DocuSAFE, and a webinar to help service providers talk about the application with survivors.

The Understanding and Using the “DocuSAFE” Documentation and Evidence Collection App webinar will explain the app, how survivors can use it to document evidence of abuse, and how professionals can support survivors in privacy and safety planning; including determining whether survivors should use the app.

DocuSAFE is a free app for survivors to collect, store, and share evidence of abuse; such as domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, online harassment, or trafficking. Survivors can log individual incidents through photos, screenshots, or video documentation of threatening messages, harassing social media posts, unwanted repeated phone calls, or online impersonation, among other behaviors. Content can also be shared securely with others if the survivor chooses to.

Participants will be given a live demo of the features and functions of the app. We will be launching the app on May 7, 2020. Please note that this app is not live yet, but it will be live the week of the webinar with more details to come.

This webinar is open to anyone working with survivors. It will have Closed Captions in English and will be recorded.
