The NYS Office of Victim Services (OVS) is pleased to announce registration details for the OVS 2019 Conference, Innovation in Victim Services: Transforming the Field through Creative Solutions, to be held November 19-21, 2019 at the Albany Hilton, Downtown in Albany, NY.

The OVS 2019 Conference is a multi-day, multi-session statewide professional development conference for OVS-funded victim advocates and victim services providers from all over New York State. This distinctive conference offers the opportunity for individuals from various victim services disciplines to network and train alongside one another. This year's conference will feature over 30 workshop and plenary sessions with presentations from more than 50 acclaimed professionals and victim advocacy experts from across the country. Special guests this year include:

  • Zeke Thomas – Survivor, Sexual Assault Awareness Advocate, DJ, Producer, & TV Host
  • Heather Martin – Columbine Shooting Survivor, Executive Director & Co-Founder of The Rebels Project
  • Youngbee Dale – Anti-Trafficking Consultant & Subject Matter Expert
  • Representatives from Urban Resource Institute's People and Animals Living Safely (PALS) Program

This year’s event will also feature a networking reception, therapy dogs (back by popular demand), resource tables and a not-to-be missed evening celebration hosted by OVS Director Elizabeth Cronin & DJ Zeke Thomas!

Registration for the OVS 2019 Conference will open on August 15, 2019 at 9:00am, is on a first-come, first-served basis and will be processed online at https://ovs2019conference.eventbrite.com

Attendance at this year’s conference will cost $225.00 per registrant and will cover lodging, three meals on Wednesday and breakfast on Thursday. Upon successful registration, hotel reservation details and information on how to select workshop preferences will be automatically provided. Please note: Room availability and workshop space is limited and reservations and preferences will also be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
