During National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Yo Digo No Más Movement, the Yonkers School District, the third largest in New York State, and the Yonkers Mayor's Office, invite the entire community to walk out against sexual violence and encouraging everyone to participate in the "I Say No More to Sexual Violence" March, scheduled for Saturday, April 30 in Yonkers.
Leading up to the event, Yo Digo No Más Movement, Stony Brook Medicine, 'me too.' Movement, and mental health professionals will offer several workshops for parents/caregivers, school counselors, and students. In this space, a group of professionals, experts, and specialized organizations seek to plant a seed to educate and empower children and adolescents, parents, caregivers, Yonkers public school teachers, and the community in general to understand and prevent sexual violence.
