Description

Join the Albany County Crime Victim and Sexual Violence Center and the Albany Public Library for our new book club! We'll be working to dispel sexual assault myths and dismantle rape culture one book at a time. Bring your hearts and minds as we discuss the book and our world. Imagine a world without sexual violence….what are you doing to create that world?

Our book selection for April is Found: Triumph Over Fear With Grace and Gratitude: The Michelle Corrao Story.

Throughout Found, Michelle vulnerably documents her story as a source of hope for other survivors and their families, and as a compelling resource for anyone who longs to live more trauma informed. Her compassion, gratitude, and empathy light the way for all who want to make the world a safer, kinder place.

Join the movement and help stop the violence!

Our Community Partner and discussion facilitator from Albany County is Jolynn Backes she can be reached at Jolynn.backes@albanycountyny.gov or 518-447-7100

We will be meeting virtually on the library's Zoom account. You will receive a meeting link after you register.

Copies of the book, for registrants to keep, will be available for pick up at the Washington Ave or Delaware Branches. Please select a pick-up location when registering.
